Recent Events - River Festival at Carmel Barnyard 6 June 1999

The River Festival held on 6 June, included photographs from local photographers and (for 90,000 trees that will be destroyed) 90 silk paintings by children from Cachagua, Big Sur, Pacific Grove, Carmel, Seaside, Carmel Valley, and Monterey.

Patrick Clark, Lynda Jardine, Tom Little Bear Nason and Kenny Stahl played music. There was a wonderful animal parade protesting to "Save our Habitat" and "Save our River"  and a video short about impacts of the dam; all part of the Visual Voices Project.
